This is one of the biggest moments in Laka's history so far.
After a rigorous, year-long tender, eurorad Deutschland GmbH, one of Germany's leading bike leasing providers, has chosen Laka, alongside Ammerländer Versicherung VVaG and Deutsche Assistance Service GmbH, as its new insurance partners to insure its bike leasing fleet. Together, from 1 January 2027, we're launching a completely new insurance concept for bike leasing in Germany, digital from the ground up.
eurorad rebuilt its leasing platform and wanted an insurance partner that could keep pace: digital-first, deeply integrated rather than bolted on.
✅ We integrated Laka's entire insurance process inside the eurorad leasing platform, from sign-up through to claims
✅ Cover gets broader too: if a rider is made redundant, they're no longer left owing for a bike they can no longer afford
✅ Employers, riders and eurorad's retail partners all get a better experience
"After a very careful selection process, we are convinced that with Laka and Ammerländer Versicherung we have found the right combination of digital strength, willingness to innovate and insurance expertise," says Thomas Wiesel, eurorad's Managing Director.
Thank you to eurorad and Ammerländer Versicherung for trusting us to build this. This isn't just a significant partnership. It's the closest we've come yet to what we set out to build back in 2017: insurance that's genuinely digital, built to move at the speed of tech, and flexible enough to integrate directly into the systems of the largest companies in the industry.
